Gameplay and Story Segregation: A variant, as Undertone transforms into a buzzsaw in the series, not unlike Jetstorm and Slipstream.Detachment Combat: Having partnered with a Minicon named Undertone in the interim between the previous series and this one, Ratchet stores him on his wrist.Defector from Decadence: Despite effectively being exiled from Cybertron by the High Council, Ratchet prefers it to being imprisoned or being on a Cybertron that actively tries to bury Optimus Prime's legacy.The Bus Came Back: Was Put on a Bus along with the rest of Optimus' team from Prime, and makes his return in the second season finale.Soul Brotha: One towards both Bumblebee and Bulkhead.įirst Appearance: "Decepticon Island, Part 1".He appeared prominently in Aligned books and video games, but if you only watched Prime (which he never appeared in and had a Broad Strokes approach to the other material), he comes off like this. However, after listening to Bumblebee and helping to capture a Decepticon fugitive, he agrees to leave the team to their mission and returns to Cybertron to speak on their behalf. Reasonable Authority Figure: He's an agent of the Cybertronian Council and tries to bring Bumblebee and his team back for questioning.Old Friend: He and Bumblebee served together and struck up a friendship during the Great War.Make Some Noise: Wields a pair of powerful speaker-weapons mounted in his shoulders, capable of producing deafening sound waves.Cool Shades: His retractable visor serves as a pair.Cool Car: Transforms into what appears to be a Porsche.Back for the Finale: After his single-episode appearance in the first season, he's essentially forgotten about by the show until he shows up as a member of Optimus' "All-Stars" in the last episodes.
